State Representative Dave Vella Surpasses $10,000 in Free Museum Admissions

LOVES PARK, IL. — State Representative Dave Vella (IL-68) has partnered with the non-profit organization, Museums in the Park, to provide free general admission to Chicago-area Museums, available to all his constituents of Rockford, Loves Park, and Belvidere. Rep Vella believes that with rising costs of living, families should not have to sacrifice educational and recreational experiences. His office is proud to provide access to 68th district residents to enjoy the many museums and family-fun opportunities the Chicago-area offers, free of charge. “As Rockford-area and surrounding schools are beginning to be let out for summer break, I think this is a fantastic program for children and families to take advantage of. I am proud that my office is able to offer some of the most amazing museums, parks, and experiences in the state to our local community without having to break the bank. I truly hope that as many 68th district residents take advantage of this amazing opportunity as possible and enjoy some quality family time, completely free.” Rep. Vella said about the Museums in the Park program. Since February 2023, families of the 68th district have utilized the program, totalling $11,450 worth of free admission to Chicago-area Museums. Vella is proud to offer this exclusive benefit to constituents of Rockford, Loves Park, and Belvidere.
The program offers free admission for groups of up to four and requires an authorization letter from Rep. Vella’s office. Interested residents should contact Vella’s office up until the program ends on December 31st, 2023 to register or visit www.staterepdavevella.com/museums.
