2nd Annual Bark in the Park on Midway Village Walking Path - Sept. 9, 2023

ROCKFORD, IL. — State Representative Dave Vella (IL-68) is calling on pup parents and of course, dogs to come out for the 2nd annual “Bark in the Park.” This free community event will be filled with local canine organizations that will include Rockford Police K-9 demonstrations, pet-safety tips, and dog related goods from 815 vendors. “This event will be a celebration of the many great organizations in our community that love dogs,” says Vella. This is a great opportunity to learn about different businesses in our area that cater to our beloved pets, in addition to seeing some of the awesome dogs that call our community home.

Representative Vella hopes to see neighbors out with their dogs for a fun morning! Residents are encouraged to bring their dog to the event, where they can learn about pet fire-safety, discover goods and services from local businesses and talk to non-for-profits that serve pets in the Rockford region.

*Rockford Police K-9 demonstration will take place at 11:00 A.M.

*This event is free and open to the public. Treats and other goods will be available for purchase.
