State Grants:

  • ILCharitableTrust.com

    Charitable Trust is intended to help small non-profits with annual budgets of $1 million or less. Grant applicants located in an area where pervasive poverty, unemployment, and economic distress exist will be given special attention.

    The Spring 2024 Grant Cycle, running from January 1 – March 31 2024, will award grants to non-profit charitable programs in two categories: Food and Housing. The Fall 2024 Grant Cycle, running from July 1 – September 30, will award grants to organizations in two categories: Food and Economic & Workforce Development.

    Applicants will need to complete the online application in full, including all requested documents and forms. Applicants without access to a computer or the Internet should contact the State Treasurer’s office at (217) 836-4590.

  • Application deadline: 10/27/2023

    This grant program is available to any entity named in a direct line item appropriation. Eligible costs for this program are bondable costs associated with new construction and/or renovation of buildings, additions, or structures, including associated parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, etc. This includes exterior work to surface, structure, or foundation to extend useful life; roof work – limited to removal of the system to the decking as well as stone, metal, or other work to control water damage or ice formation; as well as – if done as part of a larger bondable grant-funded project – interior work such as painting, plastering, sanding, replacement of electrical and light fixtures, handicapped accessible improvements, fire alarms, smoke detectors, automatic door closures, etc.

    IDHS in partnership with IDOA is developing a sustainable program to provide locally grown and raised products that meet cultural needs, from under served farmers and ranchers with the goal of increasing food insecure communities’ access to local food by connecting and building a food system through a collaborative network that will be sustained after the grant period has ended. Authorization of Section 1001(b)(4) of the American Rescue Plan Act (P.L. 117-2)

    These grants support the growing need in Illinois for high quality treatment level care for children and young adults. These grants are intended to support physical facility improvement/ facility acquisition projects. Priority is given to applications which increase bed capacity and/or enable providers to care for higher needs youth and young adults. Grant applications that assist facilities with projects which maintain current populations will also be considered.

    Applicant Eligibility: To be eligible for a grant under this Part, a recipient must be an existing residential services provider with which the Department contracts for residential/group home services [20 ILCS 530/15].

Federal Grants:

  • USDA requests applications for the fiscal year (FY) 2023 Farm Labor Stabilization and Protection Pilot (FLSP) grant program. Section 1001(b)(4) of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) (Pub. L. No. 117-2) provides funds for the FLSP program, for the purpose of providing “loans and grants and other assistance to maintain and improve food and agricultural supply chain resiliency.” The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) will provide the FLSP Program funding; however, USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will administer the program. This Notice will refer to FSA and AMS jointly as USDA.
